Malova is a small community just below Mazatlan’s city dump and is one of LaVina’s latest colonia outreaches. LaVina’s presence in this economically deprived area has created a sense of community that did not previously exist. Residents and dump workers are seeing God’s love through those who serve there, and the children are receiving Christian instruction they would not have otherwise a feeding center building has been erected and a bath/shower facility is under construction. LaVina volunteers team up to provide a feeding one day each week for the children and the dump workers returning from their day’s labor. On another day Manuel leads a team to provide a feeding, and a children’s Bible study as well.
