Pastors Marcos and Lucia Diaz as graduates of the Iglesia Mexicana of the Gospel of Christ in Mexico City, planted this church and feeding center in 2006. Marcos, a Mazatlan policeman, who came to know Jesus Christ at the age of 19 after coming through drug rehabilitation, completed his Master of Theology degree and is now working as a lawyer and is planting a new church on the Baja Peninsula. They planted the Universo Christian Community Centre several years ago when Fred Collom came alongside to help them with the construction of the center and a feeding program. Presently, 70+ children attend a Friday night Sunday School with games and music, and the mamas cook and serve a nourishing meal for the event. There are four Bible studies operating, adults on two evenings. youth another evening as well as children in the later afternoon another day. Sunday Service is held late afternoon.
