Fresnillo is the second city in the state of Zacatecas with a population of 120 thousand. Fresnillo is only 39 miles north of the capital city of Zacatecas and 22 miles from the international airport. The city, a rail and highway junction, is located in Central Mexico and is the center of a rich mining area known especially for silver. Fresnillo was founded in 1554 by Francisco de Ibarra, a Spanish conquistador.

The Fresnillo Vineyard church was established by Fred and Debbie Collom, who founded The Vineyard in Mexico. The Vineyard church continues making an impact on Fresnillo through a number of local churches and children’s Bible clubs in the poor colonias. Also, weekly feedings take place in conjunction with the children’s Bible clubs; and a mobile kitchen is used to provide meals to the needy.
